Savoury Food is a company committed to producing the highest quality food products and providing exceptional service. Savoury Food believes in maintaining high standards and therefore to ensure this, all aspects of growing and harvesting, producing, importing and distributing are controlled by Savoury Food.

All our products are grown and harvested from the renowned region of Messinia, Greece. It is a distinct area where fertile soil and warm climate produce the most famous fruit, Kalamata Olives.

Protected Designation of Origin (PDO)

Savoury Food products have the PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) seal which certify and guarantee that all our olives are from the Kalamata region. The PDO legislation came into effect in 1992 to protect the names of renowned regional foods from being misused. To obtain this prestigious distinction that is issued by the European Union, we must adhered to strict rules and regulations.

No equivalent protection exists in North America, allowing the use of the "Kalamata" name on foods without any association to Kalamata. Savoury Food prides itself with having the PDO to certify that our olives are genuinely from the region of Kalamata, Greece.
